Local MP Jo Swinson recently visited St. Ninian’s High School, where she had the chance to meet with a group of pupils.
After Jo spoke about her campaigning experiences, the students joined her for an engaging Q and A session. Much of the discussion focused on Brexit and the benefits that EU membership brings for young people, such as freedom of movement. However, the conversation also covered other topics including how Jo first got into politics. One student asked Jo about what she would do if she were to become Prime Minister. Jo answered that she would prioritise revoking Article 50.
Commenting after her visit, Jo said:
“It was great to spend the morning with pupils from St. Ninian’s High School. I really enjoyed our thoughtful discussion on important issues like Brexit. I am constantly impressed by how bright and knowledgeable the young people in our community are."
