Jo has welcomed the news that Clober Primary PTA and Westerton Nursery have been awarded grants from the Big Lottery Fund.
Clober Primary Parent Teacher Association has received £8,531 from the ‘Awards for All’ scheme to purchase outdoor play equipment in order to increase physical activity of children out of school hours. The project meets the Awards for All aim of ‘Helping groups to become better organised’. The award will fund the costs of a Trim trail exercise circuit and safety mat tiles.
Westerton Nursery has received a £10,000 grant to develop an outdoor play garden for the benefit of the children attending the group and the general users of the community hall, which will further the Awards for All aim of ‘Improving quality of life’. The money will cover labour costs for the preparation of the site, creation of a soft play area, hire of machinery and disposal of surplus soil.
