Jo chats current affairs with local pupils

Local MP Jo Swinson recently met with Modern Studies pupils from across S4 – S6 at Kirkintilloch High School.

During the visit, students had the chance to join Jo for a Q and A session, where they heard Jo’s first-hand perspectives and discussed their current studies on Democracy in Scotland and the UK. The Q and A covered a wide range of topics, including Jo’s life as an MP, her work in Parliament, her thoughts on our current political climate, and her views on how the Liberal Democrats can help stop Brexit.

Speaking after her visit, Jo said:

“It was wonderful to have the opportunity to meet with so many bright and engaged young students at Kirkintilloch High School. I particularly enjoyed hearing more about their views on the issues our country is currently facing. It is great to know that young people in our community are so engaged in the world around them.”
