Jo Swinson MP met recently with Food Heroes Kay and Jenn, to find out more about their children's cookery classes aimed at pre-school age range.
Kay and Jenn are both dieticians and are mixing, education, health and life skills as part of the Food Heroes concept.
They have developed the concept of the classes over the last year. The idea being to inspire families to make their own tasty treats which are super healthy and the youngsters are learning that cooking can be fun at the same time.
Commenting afterwards, Jo said:
"It was lovely to meet Kay and Jenn and their young followers of food a their session in Lenzie. The children were so engaged and happy to make and then take home their healthy food creations. Commenting Kay and Jenn said:
Food Heroes were delighted to meet MP Jo Swinson on Friday 4th October. It was great to show Jo how engaged the pre-school children are and to explain our experience of combining health, nutrition and education at the same time. We have been working together for 10 years and developed the concept after working in communities and with parent groups and we are keen to share our knowledge and make it fun at the same time.
