Local MP Jo Swinson met last week with Bishopbriggs-based fitness entrepreneur Kirsty MacArthur to discuss the upcoming launch this autumn of Kirsty’s new venture Warrior Fitness - an independent women’s only fitness centre.
Kirsty currently owns Curves Ladies Fitness, which opened in 2011, but plans to start her own bespoke women’s fitness boutique, Warrior Fitness, which will combine a unique circuits class and spin studio classes with a cardio and weight training area.
Warrior will be based at 100 Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs, G64 1RX, near the Scotmid Co-op.
Commenting, Jo said:
“It was great to meet Kirsty again and learn about her exciting new plans for Warrior Fitness.
“Seven years ago, I attended the opening of Curves, and it’s inspiring to see how far it’s come since then with Kirsty’s vision and leadership.
“Kirsty’s passion and enthusiasm for her work is infectious, and I wish her and the team the very best of luck with the launch of Warrior Fitness.”
Kirsty MacArthur said:
“We were delighted to welcome Jo back to Curves, and it was brilliant to have her support for Warrior Fitness.
“Warrior Fitness is a women’s fitness facility combining our unique circuit, spin studio, classes and weight training area. Our aim is to encourage our members to get fit, gain strength and lose weight together in a supportive community hub.
“Warrior is the beginning of a whole new brand of women who are strong and confident, and I’m excited to be launching it soon.”
