Milngavie Farmers' Market will go ahead in June5.57.49pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 15th May 2009 Jo has welcomed the Council's decision to issue an interim licence to the organisers of Milngavie Farmers' Market. The monthly market, which was cancelled this month due to a dispute over its licensing, will be held as normal on the first Wednesday in June. Commenting, Jo said: "It will come as a huge relief to all the stallholders of Milngavie Farmers' Market that they will be able to trade in June thanks to an interim licence being issued. The market is a much-loved part of life in Milngavie, and I hope that a long term solution can now be found to secure its future. I have met with both Renfrewshire Farmers' Market Co-operative and Fayre Events this week, and I am optimistic that if the Council reviews the situation carefully, a more fair arrangement can be reached."
