Jo took part in the Balfron 10k run on Sunday, after completing the Douglas Academy 5k PTA Fun Run at Mugdock Country Park on Saturday.

Jo is a keen runner in her spare time, and in the past she has run the Loch Ness Marathon, the Great North Run, and Race for Life, raising more than £2000 for charity in the process.

Commenting, Jo said:

"The Douglas Academy Fun Run was brilliant, and a great warm up for the Balfron 10k on Sunday. I hope it raised lots of money for the PTA.

"I really enjoyed the Balfron 10k and there was a really good atmosphere. This is the third year the event has taken place, and it is obviously growing in popularity, with more than 500 participants this year. The course is quite hilly, so it was certainly a challenge, but I loved it nonetheless and finished in 48 minutes 55 seconds. Congratulations to the event organisers who did a terrific job again this year."
