Jo joined officers on their Friday night beat around Kirkintilloch

Jo Swinson got a first-hand taste of law enforcement last night, as she was taken out on the beat by officers from Strathclyde Police.

Touring Kirkintilloch and the surrounding villages, Jo visited licenced premises and trouble hotspots. Commenting afterwards, she said:

"Officers from Strathclyde Police have a tough job to do and go to great lengths to protect the community. They are the first to put themselves 'in the line of fire' when trouble occurs. Local Police officers deserve our thanks for the dedicated, professional job they do to improve the safety of our communities."
