Jo highlighted the need for affordable local nursery care

Jo Swinson paid a visit to Kilmardinny Nursery today, to view the childcare facilities and discuss issues facing the nursery's management.

Commenting after the visit, she said:

"Kilmardinny Nursery, which opened its doors 24-years ago, is one of East Dunbartonshire's most long-established childcare centres. With a waiting list for places and a busy after-school club, the nursery is currently looking to expand. While this demand shows the high level of service on offer, it also highlights the need for greater affordable childcare provision in the community. It is a key concern of parents to be able to rely on good quality, affordable local nursery care."
