Ross and Eilidh were interviewing Jo for their Advanced Higher Modern Studies dissertations

Two pupils from Lenzie Academy were given an insight into politics today, when they interviewed Jo Swinson for their Advanced Higher Modern Studies dissertations.

Ross Watson and Eilidh Carmichael, both S5 at Lenzie Academy, questioned Jo on a range of topics including women in politics and the political alignment of the three main parties.

Jo said:

"I was delighted to help Ross and Eilidh with their projects, as I am with any school pupil seeking an insight into the political process.

"Both dissertations are on fascinating topics with plenty of scope for uncovering interesting conclusions.

"Sparking an interest in politics among young people is one of my passions, and something that I think is hugely important for the future of political participation in this country."
