Clober pupils getting into the recycling habit

2.05.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 25th Sep 2007

Jo dropped in to Clober Primary School in Milngavie today for a quick visit and speech to P7 pupils. After the visit, she said:

"I was grateful to receive a warm welcome by the friendly, attentive pupils at Clober Primary. They were bright, inquisitive and full of questions about what an MP does. Hopefully many of them will continue to develop an interest in politics throughout their school career and beyond.

"Two Primary 7 pupils, Eilidh and Jamie, gave me a tour of the school. This included seeing the pupils' recycling corner, where they collect everything from bottles to batteries. It is great to see the pupils developing green habits at a young age and I was pleased to learn that the recycling rates, recorded each year, are going up and up."
