Jo has met with several local clubs to encourage grassroots sport in East Dunbartonshire

Jo Swinson has continued to encourage local sport, attending one of East Dunbartonshire Water Polo Club's training sessions.
The 20 club members meet weekly to train and compete regularly against teams across Scotland. Jo spoke to the team about encouraging diverse sports like water polo and about the financial help available to local amateur clubs.
Jo said:
"Across East Dunbartonshire, as well as up and down the country, people get together regularly to play and train with their local sports club. This includes not just mainstream sports like football and rugby, but others less common, like water polo. Supporting grassroots sport means recognising that minority sports must not be marginalised - not everyone may be a rugby player or a footballer, but there is a sport or physical activity out there to suit most of us."
