Ferrymill Managing Director Kieran McCahill showed Jo round the Ferrymill plant in Torrance

Top coach and bus repair firm Ferrymill Motors hosted Jo Swinson today as the East Dunbartonshire MP held talks with company bosses and toured the Ferrymill site in Torrance.

Ferrymill Motors are Scotland's top commercial vehicle bodybuilders and repairers. The company carries out repair work for Scotland's major bus companies including First and Stagecoach, as well as managing a UK-wide network of 300 bodyshops for private vehicles involved in collisions with buses and coaches. The company is one of East Dunbartonshire's top employers, with 80 staff.

Commenting after the visit, Jo said:

"Ferrymill is one of the largest employers in East Dunbartonshire and one of the area's commercial success stories.

"Having established themselves as the Scottish market leader in the repair of buses, coaches and other commercial vehicles, Ferrymill is looking at further expansion in the UK market.

"The company runs its own accredited training school, providing training and skills to young recruits in the area. Investing in the skills of the local workforce has been, and will continue to be, key to the success of companies like Ferrymill."
