Jo Swinson has made a return visit to the Norwich Union call centre in Bishopbriggs, to catch up with staff and managers two months after their move into the new facility.

Jo attended the opening ceremony of the £21m call centre in December last year. Today's visit was an opportunity for more detailed discussion with the management at the centre.

Commenting on the visit, she said:

"With around 1000 staff, Norwich Union's Bishopbriggs operation is the largest single employer in East Dunbartonshire, and is crucial to the local economy.

"The new call centre opened to great fanfare in December and two months down the line, the new staff seem to be settling in and operations are running smoothly.

"The innovative design of the centre provides a positive working environment and I was delighted to hear that hopes are high for a good result in the Best Contact Centre Environment category at this year's European Call Centre Awards."

Jo has begun a series of visits to employers and businesses in East Dunbartonshire, and will visit approximately 12 of the constituency's biggest companies over the coming months.
