Jo Swinson welcomed pupils from Boclair Academy to the Houses of Parliament today as part of the school's 3-day visit to the capital.

The group of 40 Standard Grade pupils joined Jo for a Q&A session before taking a tour of Westminster.

Jo commented:

"I am really pleased at East Dunbartonshire school pupils being able to visit Westminster and get a first-hand look at the centre of UK politics.

"The Parliament building is simply spectacular and I hope it inspires some of the pupils to think about returning as elected members one day."
