Around 60 members of Kenmure Probus turned out to hear Jo speak

Kenmure Probus Club hosted Jo Swinson at a meeting today, as she gave a speech entitled 'a year in the life of our MP'.

Speaking to an audience of retired businessmen and professionals, Jo recalled the ups and downs of the past year, including her elevation to the role of Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland and questioning Tony Blair at Prime Minister's Questions.

Commenting after the meeting, Jo said:

"I was grateful for the invitation to speak to the members of Kenmure Probus, and pleased to give an insight into my role as MP. Recalling my past 12 months as an MP gave me a sense of accomplishment, both personally and on behalf of my constituents in East Dunbartonshire."

Jim Muir, Vice-President of Kenmure Probus said:

"The club members enjoyed hosting Jo Swinson and were interested to hear her speech. I am very pleased she took the time to come and speak to the group."
