Blue Peter have quizzed Jo on her early experiences as an MP

Flagship BBC Children's programme Blue Peter paid a visit to Jo Swinson MP yesterday, to report on the working of a Parliamentary office.

Jo was interviewed by presenter Liz Barker over her experiences as youngest MP, what she enjoyed most about the job and her favourite part of the Parliamentary estate.

Jo commented,

"This was a fun chance to look back on a very busy past six months, and to talk about my early experiences as an MP.

"Understanding how Westminster works can be hard even for adults, so I am pleased to see attempts to educate young people about it. This report will give a basic introduction of Parliament to children, and will hopefully encourage some to go off and learn more about it.

The programme will be screened on BBC1 on 4th November, at 5pm.
