Jo Swinson supports the Milngavie Farmers Market

Milngavie Farmers Market goes from strength to strength, and local MP Jo Swinson went along today to show her support, while stocking up on some of the delicious fare on sale.

Commenting on the success of the venture, Jo said, "The Farmers Market is good for nearby businesses producing high quality food giving them an ideal marketplace, and giving local people an easy opportunity to support them. It also draws in new shoppers to the precinct which helps the existing traders."

Jo chatted to some of the stall holders, including Kirkintilloch businessman James Little who runs Caurnie - the world's oldest cold pressed soaperie.

Milngavie Farmers Market takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 10am - 12pm in Milngavie precinct.
