Yesterday the Liberal Democrat poster van came to East Dunbartonshire, depicting Charles Kennedy and the Lib Dem campaign slogan "The Real Alternative".
Jo Swinson said, "Liberal Democrats have been the real alternative to Labour in Parliament, standing up to Tony Blair over Iraq, compulsory ID cards and student fees.
"Here in East Dunbartonshire it is the Liberal Democrats who provide the real alternative too. With just 2601 votes separating Labour and the Lib Dems here at the last General Election, people have a clear choice between an MP who is another Tony Blair yes-man, or a strong Lib Dem voice standing up for local people."
