Alistair Carmichael MP's visit to East Dunbartonshire is a sign the Lib Dems can win here

Alistair Carmichael MP, Lib Dem MP for Orkney & Shetland, paid a visit to East Dunbartonshire today to hit the campaign trail with local Lib Dem Jo Swinson.
Alistair, who is in the Lib Dem Home Affairs team, was the special guest at a "Pizza & Politics" event for local Lib Dem members.
Discussion ranged across topics including the latest Labour plans for detention without trial and the prospects of a Lib Dem win from Labour in East Dunbartonshire in the forthcoming General Election.
Jo said, "Alistair was a very welcome guest in East Dunbartonshire. Coming shortly after a visit by Lembit Opik MP, and just before Jim Wallace MSP comes to the area on Monday, these high profile visits show how committed the Lib Dems are to winning this seat."
"Labour should be very worried - and they are, if Tony Blair's panic visit to Kirkintilloch today is anything to go by."
