Local MP visits her former primary to speak about democracy

Local MP Jo Swinson paid a visit to her former primary school in Milngavie, Clober Primary, to speak to P7 pupils about life as an MP and Minister and to explain how our political system works.

Jo's visit fell in between the school's "World at Work" week and Parliament Week beginning on 19 November across the UK.

Commenting Jo said:

"I was delighted to attend Clober today and give the pupils some insight into how the political system works at Westminster.

"I think it is really important that young people are introduced to politics at an early age and understand how democracy affects them and how they can participate in it."
