Six arrests were made this weekend in connection with a spate of recent burglaries in East Dunbartonshire.
Commenting on the arrests, local MP Jo Swinson said:
“Like many in East Dunbartonshire, I was relieved to hear about the arrests this weekend in connection with the recent burglaries. These burglaries have understandably made many residents feel anxious, and I hope the arrests will bring some relief to the local community.
“I met recently with Chief Inspector Gerry Corrigan of East Dunbartonshire Police to discuss what could be done to solve these crimes and help the community feel safer.
“I would encourage residents to continue looking out for each other and to report any suspicious activity straight to the Police. The close co-operation between the local community and the Police has been an enormous help so far, and helps to keep our streets safe.”
