Jo meets healthy choice cancer charity

Jo recently visited Rainbow Valley, a charity in Milngavie that supports cancer sufferers. Their ‘7 Steps to Health’ programme offers a two-day retreat that merges science and spirituality to empower cancer sufferers to take control of their health during treatment.

Rainbow Valley was founded in 2012 by the friends and family of Johanna MacVicar. After Johanna tragically lost her battle with cancer in 2005, her mother Angela, sister-in-law Shonagh, and friend Lindsay MacCallum were inspired to start a charity that would help cancer sufferers make informed choices about their health.

Jo said: “I enjoyed meeting Lindsay and hearing about the fantastic work that Rainbow Valley does. As I know from my own family’s experience, having cancer is a physical and emotional rollercoaster. It’s a beautiful tribute to Johanna that she’s inspired a project that has helped so many people make informed, healthy choices at this difficult time.”
