Jo can assist any veterans looking to claim their Veteran’s Badge
Jo Swinson MP has marked the UK’s first Veteran’s Day with a call to all eligible veterans to claim their HM Armed Forces Veteran’s Badge.
Eligibility for the badge has recently been extended, making it available to all men and women who served in the armed forces up until 31st December 1959.
“It is fitting that the UK has inaugurated its own annual Veteran’s Day, and I want to see everyone who served in the armed forces up to 1959 claiming their Veteran’s Badge from the Ministry of Defence.
“The badge represents a token of appreciation for the ex-service men and women who have been prepared to lay down their lives to protect this country. As well as showing our respect to veterans, we must continue to educate young people about the irreparable sacrifices made by the men and women of the armed forces.
“Anyone who wants information or assistance in claiming their Veteran’s Badge should contact my office. They will be sent an application form along with instructions on how to go about claiming their badge.”
