Jo embarks on Summer Tour

Jo will be out and about in East Dunbartonshire next week listening to your views, answering your questions and taking up issues on your behalf.

Jo holds weekly surgeries where constituents are welcome to come along and discuss with her any issues which they feel she may be able to help with. Next week, however, as Jo embarks on her Summer Tour, Jo will be visiting locations through East Dunbartonshire every day to hear what you have you to say and what issues you’d like her to take up.

The full schedule of Jo’s summer tour includes visits to Milngavie railway station, Bearsden Cross, Westerton Library, Huntershill Village, Auld Kirk Museum, Lenzie railway station and the Triangle in Bishopbriggs. Anyone is welcome to come along at any point on the tour to chat with Jo, ask questions or discuss their concerns.

Commenting, Jo said:

“I believe holding surgeries is one the most important parts of my job as an MP, as that’s when I get to meet many constituents on an individual basis, hear about their concerns and, hopefully, do something to address them. The idea of the summer tour is to extend that surgery time over a whole week. I hope that people will feel they can come along at any time to talk to me, and perhaps I will also get to speak with some people who might never have thought of coming along to one of my surgeries before. I am very much looking forward it.”
