Jo Swinson joined in the fun at Strathkelvin Talking Newspaper today, by cutting the Birthday cake at the newspaper’s 25th Birthday celebrations.

The party was held in St Mary’s Parish Church, Kirkintilloch and was attended by over 50 people, both volunteers and users of the Talking Newspaper service. Kirkintilloch Ladies Choir also attended the event to perform a collection of songs.

After the event, Jo said:

“It is quite revealing to see just how many people, both users and volunteers, are brought together by Strathkelvin Talking Newspaper. The service has built up a strong body of support over its 25 years, and I was delighted to be able to join in the Birthday celebrations today. I am sure the service will keep going strong for the next 25 years.”
