Jo attends official opening of East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action new premises

Jo Swinson MP for East Dunbartonshire attended the official opening of East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action’s new premises alongside Head of Council Rhonda Geekie, provost Una Walker and ‘Reporting Scotland’ presenter Sally Magnusson who cut the ribbon.

East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action was created in April 2012 when the Volunteer Centre East Dunbartonshire and the East Dunbartonshire Council for Voluntary Services merged. The organisation provides support for those looking to volunteer and for voluntary organisations looking to develop their organisation and increase communications.

Commenting Jo said:

“Best of luck to East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action in their new home! I am sure they will continue to be a valuable resource to volunteers and the third sector locally.

“Anyone interested in the services they offer can visit their website atwww.edva.org or give them a call on 0141 578 6680.”
