Jo Swinson MP for East Dunbartonshire attended PoppyScotland's Poppy Appeal launch event at Dover House in London on Tuesday night.
The reception was attended by members of the armed forces in Scotland, the Secretary of State, MPs, Peers and Poppy Scotland representatives.
Every year over five million poppies and 8,000 wreaths are produced for the annual appeal. The poppies are made by disabled servicemen at the Lady Haig Poppy Factory in Edinburgh who hand-assemble the poppies and wreaths.
Commenting Jo said:
"I was delighted to attend the launch of the Poppy Scotland appeal and to get a sneak preview of this year's advert.
"Money raised supports thousands of Scotland's ex-servicemen and women, and their families, who are experiencing difficult times since leaving the force.
"The annual appeal serves a reminder of the sacrifice that service men and women have given, and still give, for the freedoms that we enjoy today."
