Jo is encouraging local charities and projects working in the East Dunbartonshire community to get signed up for the chance of valuable funding.
CommunityForce, a project run by the Royal Bank of Scotland, makes awards to local charities and organisations that have made a difference in their communities. The public will have the opportunity to decide on the winners, with rewards of up to £6000 each.
Registration for the scheme must be completed by Monday 4th September, and can be completed by visiting www.communityforce.rbs.co.uk – the three projects with the most votes in each CommunityForce area will win awards.
Commenting, Jo said:
“Last year more than 280 projects benefitted from the CommunityForce scheme, and in my role as East Dunbartonshire’s MP I have been lucky enough to meet many deserving charities and organisations who should apply now to be in with a chance of an award.
“Last year’s winners included an organisation that helped give disabled people riding lessons and a lifeboat service, and I’d urge all East Dunbartonshire residents to have a think about projects that are making a difference to our communities, and get them to sign up. CommunityForce funding could make a real difference to a local project deserving of recognition.”
