Commenting Jo said:
“This has been a fantastic campaign and I am delighted that so many businesses got involved to give local people a chance to get into work, especially young people.
“There has been real enthusiasm from companies across East Dunbartonshire and this is just the start.
“I will continue to work with local companies to make sure they understand the support that is available from government to create job opportunities.
“As part of the initiative, I have taken on an apprentice in my office in Bearsden. Kieran will gain a SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration during his time with us.
“I’m currently planning two events for local businesses, one on trade and investment and one on business lending, to make sure companies know what support is available to boost growth and help create jobs and apprenticeships.”
Jo will continue to work on initiatives such as the successful Get East Dunbartonshire Working campaign that secured 109 job and training opportunities in East Dunbartonshire.
