Local MP Jo Swinson met with P7 pupils at Bearsden Primary School to discuss their recent project on politics and World War 2.
The pupils and Jo had an interesting conversation about the significance of World War 2, and Jo was able to talk about a recent event she attended to mark Holocaust Memorial Day – and why it’s so important that we never forget the victims.
Commenting after the visit, Jo said:
“Once again, I really enjoyed a trip to Bearsden Primary School, and I was very impressed by the knowledge of the P7 pupils who have clearly enjoyed their studies of democracy and World War 2. They have approached some difficult topics with maturity and are aware that lessons must still be learned today from these past events. I hope they maintain their interest in these important issues.”
