Latest consultation results show community doesn't back merger proposals

“It’s clear from the consultation responses that the proposal to merge Lenzie Moss and Lenzie Primary is relatively uncontroversial however the Council must ensure they address the increased traffic levels that would come following the merger in an area that is already of concern to local residents.

“The opposite is true for the proposal to merge Auchinairn and Woodhill where two thirds of respondents disagree with the proposal, making it an unpopular one.  While Education Scotland’s report states that there are educational benefits to the proposal the communities at both schools, especially Auchinairn, don’t see it as the way forward.”
